And now, the drywall. They got most of the ceilings finished on the first day and some of the walls. Drywall should take about a week to complete.

The rim joist has been thoroughly insulated.

At last, insulation. 6" of Icynene. After one day for caulking all cracks and seams, the foam is being installed over a 2-day period. Looks good so far.

We insulated the wall between the master bedroom and the great room to keep noise out. Abby is checking out the insulation.

Every crack is caulked or foamed. We are ready for Icynene spray foam insulation on the walls. The windows are covered so they won't get splattered with foam.

Jim's got the whole house fan installed. Looks good!

The whole house fan arrived yesterday from Tamarack industries. We decided to try it out. As you see it here, it is the full open position with fans blowing upward. It's insulated to R38 and will close and seal so you don't have to worry about air leakage when it's closed. It comes with a remote control and has two speeds.

It takes about 15 seconds for the doors to fold out before the fans start. It's a lot quieter than the whole house fans I have had in the past.

We will need to install it before drywall.
